How It Works

This SEG Solar SEG-480-BTB-BG module converts sunlight into usable DC electricity through advanced N‑type TOPCon monocrystalline solar cells arranged in a half‑cell layout. Incident sunlight hits the front glass, passes through the anti‑reflection coating, and reaches the solar cells, where photons are converted into electrical current. Because this is a bifacial double‑glass design, additional light reflecting from the ground or nearby surfaces also enters through the rear glass and contributes to current generation. The module’s electrical output is delivered through MC4 connectors to a compatible inverter, which then converts DC energy into AC power for on‑site use or export to the grid. A low temperature coefficient and carefully optimised cell interconnection help maintain consistent performance under real‑world conditions, including partial shade and high operating temperatures. Over the system lifetime, the linear power warranty and controlled degradation rate support predictable production forecasts and project bankability.

N-Type TOPCon half‑cell architecture: The module uses N‑type TOPCon 182 x 91 mm cells in a 120 half‑cell configuration. This structure reduces resistive losses, improves shade tolerance across strings, and supports higher conversion efficiency compared with many standard full‑cell designs.

Bifacial double‑glass energy capture: Front and rear 2.0 mm glass layers enable light collection from both sides of the panel.
