How It Works
This Sirius PV bifacial solar panel converts sunlight into usable DC power using high efficiency monocrystalline PERC half cells that are optimized for both front and rear side energy capture. When sunlight hits the 182×91 mm cells on the front surface, photons are absorbed and generate an electric current that is collected through a multi busbar grid and delivered to your inverter. At the same time, additional light reflected from the ground or roof surface reaches the rear side, where the bifacial cell structure transforms this extra irradiance into additional power output. The module operates within an optimal temperature range of around 45±2°C under nominal conditions and maintains performance due to low temperature coefficients, reducing power loss as cell temperatures rise. Within a PV array, multiple modules are connected in series and parallel strings to match the design voltage and current for your inverter, using the 1500 V system rating and 25 A series fuse limit as design boundaries. The tempered glass, durable frame, and IP68 junction box protect the electrical components and maintain insulation and safety over decades of outdoor exposure.
Front side energy conversion: Sunlight strikes the anti reflection coated tempered glass and passes through to the monocrystalline PERC cells beneath. The cell structure captures incoming photons efficiently and converts them into direct current, which flows through the cell matrix and into the module busbars. At standard test conditions, the front side delivers up to 400 W with a maximum power voltage of 30.81 V and current of 12.99 A.
Rear side bifacial gain: The bifacial cell design also allows the rear surface to participate in power generation by using reflected irradiance from the mounting environment. When the panel is installed above bright ground, light coloured roofs, or reflective surfaces, this rear side contribution can significantly increase total energy yield. Because no extra module area is needed, bifacial gain improves kilowatt hour production per square metre and supports better lifetime project economics.
Thermal and electrical stability in operation: During operation, the module temperature fluctuates with ambient conditions, irradiance, and ventilation, typically stabilizing around the nominal operating cell temperature. The low temperature coefficient of Pmax at -0.34% per °C and Voc at -0.26% per °C helps limit power loss in hot weather, while a positive Isc coefficient of 0.05% per °C supports reliable current output. System designers use the 1500 V maximum system voltage and 25 A series fuse rating to size strings safely, ensuring stable system performance and inverter compatibility across the full operating temperature range.
