Half cut cell layout reduces resistive losses, which supports higher efficiency and better shade tolerance on partial string shading. The generated current exits through MC4 connectors and 4 square millimeter cables to the DC combiner, inverter, or charge controller. In grid tied systems, the DC output is converted into AC power suitable for on site loads and export to the utility grid. In off grid or hybrid systems, the same DC power can be stored in batteries through compatible inverters or controllers.
