The Sunceco SEM 320 Diamond converts sunlight into usable DC electricity through high quality mono-crystalline silicon cells. When sunlight hits the advanced textured cell surface, photons transfer energy to electrons within the silicon structure. This energy creates an electric field that drives electrons through the cell, generating a direct current. Cells are wired together inside the laminated module to deliver a combined maximum power of 320 watts at standard test conditions. The tempered glass, encapsulant and backsheet protect the cells while allowing high light transmission. Current flows from the junction box through MC4 compatible connectors and 4.0 square millimeter DC cables toward the inverter. Once the DC power reaches a compatible inverter, it is converted to AC electricity for building use or export to the grid. Temperature coefficients are optimized so that output remains predictable as the module temperature rises in real operating environments.
Monocrystalline energy conversion: Each mono-crystalline silicon cell features an ordered crystal structure that supports efficient electron movement. This structure improves the conversion of solar irradiance into electrical current under a wide range of conditions.
