The SunMaster SM12-580 580 watt monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable DC electricity using advanced PERC cell technology. Each of the 120 half cut monocrystalline cells is designed to capture photons efficiently and guide electrons through multiple busbars with minimal resistance. Under standard test conditions, the panel operates at a maximum power voltage of around 33.9 volts and a maximum power current near 17.11 amps in the 580 watt bin. When installed as part of a string, the modules connect through MC4 compatible connectors to supply energy to an inverter, which then converts the DC power into AC power suitable for on grid or off grid systems. The anti reflection glass surface and optimized cell layout help maintain strong performance even when irradiance is reduced. Thermal characteristics are carefully balanced so that output remains more stable as cell temperature increases in strong sun. The result is a dependable, high output solar panel that supports efficient energy generation across a wide range of operating conditions.
Photon capture and DC power generation: Sunlight strikes the PERC monocrystalline cells and frees electrons within the silicon layers. The passivated rear surface reflects unabsorbed light back into the cell, increasing the chance of photon capture and raising overall efficiency.
