This Thornova heterojunction bifacial solar panel converts sunlight into electricity using advanced 120 half-cut HJT cells. The front side captures direct solar radiation, while the rear side harvests reflected light from surrounding surfaces. Heterojunction technology combines crystalline silicon with thin amorphous layers for superior cell efficiency. Half-cut cell layout reduces internal resistance, which increases power and improves shade tolerance. When the module is exposed to sunlight, direct current flows through the integrated junction box and cables. This power is then sent to a compatible inverter, where it is converted into usable alternating current. The module is optimized for modern high voltage systems up to 1500V DC, enabling efficient string design. Advanced encapsulation and dual-glass construction protect the cells from moisture, temperature swings, and mechanical stress.
Heterojunction HJT cell structure: The module uses high efficiency heterojunction cells with crystalline silicon wafers. Thin amorphous layers on both sides reduce recombination and increase voltage. This structure supports higher energy yield, especially in warmer conditions.
Bifacial rear-side generation: Both glass sides are active, enabling power generation from front and rear. With bifaciality around 90%, reflected light is effectively captured by the rear cells. This design improves system performance on light colored roofs, concrete, snow, or reflective ground.
