How It Works

This N-type half cell bifacial module converts sunlight into DC electricity using advanced crystalline silicon cells. Light that strikes the front glass is absorbed by the 132 N-type cells and converted into electrical current. The bifacial design also captures light reflected onto the rear glass, which boosts overall energy generation. Cells are wired in a half cut layout to reduce resistive losses and improve shade tolerance across the module. Generated DC power flows through three bypass diodes in the IP68 junction box to minimise hot spot risk. From the junction box, current is carried through 4 mm² DC cables to the string wiring and central inverter. The inverter converts the high voltage DC from the array into AC power for on site loads or grid export. Optimised temperature coefficients ensure reliable power delivery where module temperatures rise under strong sun.

N-Type half-cell conversion: N-type TNC cells resist light induced degradation and maintain high efficiency over time. Half cut geometry lowers internal resistance, helping the module deliver strong power even under elevated temperatures.

Bifacial glass construction: Semi tempered glass on both sides allows light to reach the rear cell surfaces. Reflected and diffuse light is used to generate additional current, increasing yield compared with monofacial modules on similar racks.

System integration and protection: The panel connects into 1500 volt DC strings for lower balance of system costs. Bypass diodes and robust insulation protect the module during shading events, high wind loads and challenging weather exposure.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
