How It Works
This Upsolar panel converts sunlight into usable electricity through high efficiency PERC monocrystalline cells. Each of the 120 half cut M10 cells absorbs incoming light and generates direct current power. The PERC structure increases internal light reflection and improves carrier collection under various irradiance levels. Half cut cell layout reduces current in each cell string, which limits resistive losses and improves performance. The cells are encapsulated in EVA and protected by tempered glass with an anti reflection coating. Generated current flows through the cell matrix into the IP68 junction box. From there, MC4 connectors and 4 square millimetre cables deliver power to the string wiring and inverter. The inverter then converts direct current energy into alternating current electricity for on site use or export to the grid.
PERC monocrystalline cell conversion: Monocrystalline silicon cells use a PERC structure to capture more light and hold carriers longer. This design increases efficiency under standard conditions and supports higher yields in low light.
Half cut M10 cell layout: The 182 by 91 millimetre cells are cut into halves and wired in parallel strings. This configuration reduces series resistance, improves shade tolerance, and helps stabilise output across the module.
Durable module architecture: Cells sit between EVA encapsulant layers beneath 3.2 millimetre tempered glass with anti reflection coating. An anodized aluminium frame and IP68 junction box protect the circuitry, while MC4 connectors ensure reliable field connections.
