How It Works

This Upsolar UP-M460MH 460W PERC monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable electrical energy through high efficiency mono silicon cells and precision engineered module components. Incoming light passes through the 3.2 mm anti reflection tempered glass, where glare is reduced and more photons reach the PERC cells. Within each of the 120 M10 half cells, the photovoltaic effect generates direct current that is collected through busbars and routed via the IP68 junction box and MC4 connectors. The panel operates effectively across a wide temperature window, supported by carefully selected temperature coefficients that limit power loss in hot conditions. When wired into a suitable inverter, the DC energy is converted into alternating current for home, business or project loads, with the gradual annual degradation controlled by Upsolar’s optimized cell and encapsulant design for dependable long term yield.

PERC monocrystalline cell conversion: PERC mono cells capture sunlight on the front surface and use a passivated rear side to reduce recombination losses. This cell structure increases the effective light path and allows more electricity to be generated from the same irradiance level. The combination of PERC technology and 21% class efficiency helps system owners gain higher output per square meter.

Half cut M10 cell and string layout: The module uses 120 half cut M10 cells arranged to reduce resistive losses and improve shade tolerance compared with full cell designs. By splitting the current path, electrical losses are reduced and operating temperatures remain more controlled.
