How It Works
The Amso Solar AS200M6-36 converts sunlight into usable direct current electricity through high quality monocrystalline cells. Each of the 36 crystalline cells generates a small electrical current when exposed to solar irradiation. The 5 busbar cell design collects that current efficiently and feeds it into the module’s internal circuitry. Under standard test conditions, the module delivers 200 watts at a voltage of 19.8 volts and a current of 10.1 amperes. This output is available through MC4 compatible connectors and can be wired into series strings or parallel branches. The panel operates effectively within a wide temperature range due to optimized temperature coefficients. As array voltage and current are combined, the generated energy can charge batteries or feed inverters. The complete process is passive and silent, with no moving parts and minimal routine attention required.
Monocrystalline cell conversion: Each monocrystalline cell absorbs photons from sunlight and releases electrons. The built in electric field directs those electrons and creates a stable direct current flow. The 5 busbar layout shortens current paths and reduces resistive losses inside each cell.
Module level power generation: The 36 cells are interconnected to achieve a module voltage of 19.8 volts at maximum power. At that point the current reaches 10.1 amperes, giving a nominal 200 watt output. Open circuit voltage of 24.1 volts and short circuit current of 10.51 amperes define the operating window.
System integration and protection: Power leaves the panel through an IP67 rated junction box and MC4 type connectors. Strings can be designed up to a maximum system voltage of 1500 volts for large arrays. A series fuse rating of 15 amperes protects the module when used in properly fused circuits.
