The REC Solar REC420AA-PURE-2 Alpha Series 420 Watt Module is a premium all-black solar panel built with REC's advanced heterojunction (HJT) cell technology. Featuring 132 half-cut monocrystalline HJT cells on a black backsheet with a black anodized aluminum frame, it combines a sleek, compact design with strong energy density, making it well suited for residential installations where both aesthetics and performance matter. At 420W with 21.7% panel efficiency, it delivers excellent output per square foot of roof space.

The Alpha Pure 2 Series is built with lead-free, gapless cell technology and rated for a module current of 10.74 A, making it compatible with module-level power electronics such as microinverters and power optimizers. EG4 off-grid base kit, Happy with my purchase.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
