The Fortress Power eForce 19.2 is a complete 19.2 kWh outdoor-rated lithium iron phosphate (LFP) energy storage kit comprising two stacked 9.6 kWh Tier-1 prismatic LFP battery modules — each with a built-in temperature-sensor-controlled heater — topped with the Fortress eWay integrated AC/DC combiner and wireway, pre-assembled cables, and a floor-standing mount. Rated at 400Ah / 48V nominal with an IP65 ingress protection rating, the eForce 19.2 is engineered for all-weather outdoor installation, supporting operating temperatures from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) without derating. With 8,000 cycle life at 70% end-of-life capacity, a 250A maximum charge/discharge current, 14.4 kW surge discharge capability, and native RS485 / Wi-Fi / CAN communication for closed-loop BMS integration with compatible inverters, the eForce 19.2 is purpose-built for whole-home backup, solar self-consumption, off-grid, and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) applications. The kit is compatible with the Fortress Power Envy 8kW, 10kW, and 12kW inverters, and the system is scalable to up to eight 19.2 kWh units in parallel for a total of 153.6 kWh.
IP65 Outdoor Rating + Built-In Temperature-Controlled Heater: The eForce 19.2 is fully sealed to IP65 — protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction — making it suitable for direct outdoor wall or floor installation in garages, carports, or exterior locations without a separate enclosure. Each battery module contains an integrated electric heater that activates automatically when cell temperature drops below the operational threshold, keeping the LFP cells within their optimal performance window down to -4°F (-20°C) and preventing cold-temperature capacity loss that affects standard outdoor batteries.
eWay Integrated Combiner — All AC/DC Connections in One Place: The Fortress eWay wireway sits atop the stacked battery modules and serves as the system's central AC/DC connection hub — integrating busbars, cable conduit ports, and a lockable, taggable power disconnect (eDisconnect) in a single assembly that eliminates the need for a separate DC combiner box or manual disconnect hardware. All inverter AC connections, battery DC bus connections, and communication wiring route through the eWay, significantly reducing installation time and simplifying field wiring for the installing technician.
8,000-Cycle Life — 20-Year Design Life: The Tier-1 prismatic LFP cells inside the eForce 19.2 are rated for 8,000 full charge/discharge cycles at 70% end-of-life capacity — equivalent to over 21 years of daily cycling. This cycle life guarantee is backed by a 10-year standard warranty, with upgrade options available to extend coverage to 30 years when the eForce is installed as a complete system with the Fortress Envy inverter and Guardian Gateway, making it one of the longest-warranted residential battery systems on the market.
250A Continuous + 14.4 kW Surge Discharge: A maximum continuous charge/discharge current of 250A enables rapid charging from high-power solar arrays and fast discharge to support whole-home loads simultaneously, while a 14.4 kW surge discharge capability for 10 seconds handles the high inrush currents of large motor loads — central air conditioners, well pumps, electric water heaters — without triggering BMS protection cutoffs or dropping loads during startup.
Modular & Scalable — Up to 153.6 kWh Per System: The eForce 19.2 is stackable and fully modular. Up to eight 19.2 kWh units can be connected in parallel on a single system, scaling total storage capacity from 19.2 kWh to 153.6 kWh — enabling the same base hardware to serve a small residential backup installation today and a whole-home or light commercial off-grid application as energy needs grow.
Closed-Loop BMS with RS485, Wi-Fi & CAN Communication: Native RS485, Wi-Fi, and CAN communication interfaces enable the eForce 19.2 to establish a closed-loop BMS connection with compatible inverters — passing real-time cell voltage, state of charge, temperature, and charge/discharge limits directly to the inverter's control firmware for fully coordinated, cell-level managed charging and discharging. This eliminates the voltage-only open-loop charging limitations of generic battery/inverter pairings and maximizes both cycle life and usable capacity over the life of the system.
The eForce 19.2 operates as a 48V DC battery bank that connects to a compatible hybrid inverter (Fortress Envy 8kW, 10kW, or 12kW recommended) through the eWay combiner's integrated DC bus. The inverter manages all DC-to-AC conversion, battery charge regulation, grid interaction, and backup switching — while the eForce battery's integrated BMS communicates cell-level status data to the inverter continuously via the closed-loop communication link.
Integrated BMS — Active Cell-Level Management: Each of the two 9.6 kWh battery modules within the eForce 19.2 contains an independent Battery Management System that monitors individual cell voltage, state of charge, temperature, and health in real time. The master BMS coordinates both modules as a unified 400Ah / 48V bank and communicates charge/discharge current limits, state-of-charge percentage, and fault status to the inverter via CAN or RS485 — allowing the inverter to charge and discharge the battery at the exact current rate the cells can safely accept at that moment, rather than using fixed voltage setpoints.
Built-In Heater — Cold Weather Self-Protection: LFP cells experience significant capacity reduction and can sustain permanent damage if charged at sub-zero temperatures. The eForce 19.2's integrated temperature-controlled heater activates automatically when internal battery temperature approaches the cold threshold — warming the cells to their operational range before charge begins and maintaining thermal stability throughout cold-weather discharge events, without any user intervention or external thermostat required.
eWay Combiner — Simplified Field Wiring: The eWay wireway provides the physical and electrical interface between the stacked battery modules and the installed inverter. The integrated busbar accepts the DC output from both battery modules and routes combined DC power to the inverter via pre-terminated cables included in the kit. AC wiring from the inverter and communication cables to the BMS also route through the eWay's conduit ports, keeping all high-current connections organized, strain-relieved, and enclosed — and providing a single lockable eDisconnect point that de-energizes the entire battery bank for safe maintenance.
