How It Works
The EGing PV 680 N-Type TOPCon bifacial module converts sunlight into electricity using advanced crystalline silicon cells. Incoming light on the textured glass surface is absorbed by N-Type TOPCon cells arranged in a 132 half cell layout. These cells generate direct current that flows through multi busbar conductors with reduced resistance. The bifacial glass glass design also captures reflected light at the rear side under suitable installation conditions. Both sides feed current through a robust IP68 junction box and MC4 compatible connectors into the DC strings. Inverters then convert this DC power into usable alternating current for on site loads or grid export. Optimized temperature coefficients and low light response support energy production through varied climates and seasons while minimizing performance losses.
N-Type TOPCon cell architecture: N-Type TOPCon cells use a different doping structure than conventional P-Type cells, which reduces light induced degradation and improves carrier lifetime. This structure helps the module maintain higher power at elevated temperatures, supported by a Pmax temperature coefficient of around -0.30 percent per degree Celsius.
Bifacial double glass construction: The module uses 2 millimetre glass on both sides instead of a polymer backsheet, allowing light to reach the rear cell surfaces. When installed above reflective ground or roofing, the rear side contributes additional power and can push effective module efficiency beyond the front side value.
Multi busbar and low resistance layout: A multi busbar cell design shortens the distance that current travels through the fingers, which lowers resistive losses. Increased busbar reflectance also sends more light back into the cell, improving energy capture and helping the panel reach its 660 to 685 watt power range.
Optimized for varied conditions: The module performs well under low light thanks to advanced surface texturing and anti reflective glass treatment. Stable electrical characteristics at the nominal operating cell temperature help maintain consistent output across seasonal temperature swings on both rooftop and ground mount systems.
