The SC SF580M10 solar panel converts sunlight into usable direct current electricity through high efficiency monocrystalline PERC cells. When sunlight hits the 156 monocrystalline cells, photons are absorbed and free electrons are generated within the semiconductor material. These electrons are driven by an internal electric field, creating a flow of current through the cell string. At standard test conditions, this process delivers a maximum power output of 580 Wp with a current of 13.09 A at 44.34 V. The generated DC power is then routed through the IP68 rated junction box and connectors into the system wiring. In a typical grid tied installation, an inverter converts this DC energy into AC power for building loads or export to the grid. Carefully controlled temperature coefficients help keep the conversion process efficient across changing weather conditions. Over the panel lifetime, optimized cell design and materials maintain a stable energy yield with low degradation.
Monocrystalline PERC cell operation: Each cell uses high purity monocrystalline silicon to improve electron mobility and reduce energy loss. The PERC structure reflects unabsorbed light back into the cell, allowing more photons to be converted into electricity.
