This SolarEdge smart module uses monocrystalline PERC half-cut cells combined with a pre-assembled DC power optimizer to convert sunlight into electricity more efficiently and safely. When sunlight hits the 108 high-efficiency cells, direct current is produced and immediately managed by the integrated SolarEdge optimizer mounted on the back of the panel. The optimizer tracks the maximum power point of the module in real time, helping reduce energy losses from shading, module mismatch, and temperature changes across the array. Optimized DC power is then sent through PV cabling to the compatible SolarEdge inverter, where it is converted into usable AC electricity for the home or business. At the same time, SafeDC technology continuously monitors system status and can lower string voltage to safe levels when the inverter or grid is shut down. The result is a smart, connected module that supports greater energy harvest, enhanced safety, and full visibility from module to grid through SolarEdge monitoring.
Monocrystalline PERC half-cut cell design: Each module contains 108 half-cut monocrystalline PERC cells arranged in a 6 x 18 layout to reduce resistive losses and improve low-light response. The PERC architecture enhances internal light capture, while the half-cut design lowers operating current in each cell strip, which can improve efficiency and shade tolerance across the panel.
