This Upsolar monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable electrical energy through its high efficiency PERC cell architecture. When sunlight reaches the anti reflective tempered glass, more light passes into the silicon cells rather than bouncing away. Inside each of the 120 half cut cells, photons excite electrons and create direct current electricity. The cells are wired in series and parallel strings, optimized around a maximum power voltage of 34.6 volts and a current of 10.98 amps under standard conditions. The generated current is collected by busbars, passes through the EVA encapsulant, and is routed to the IP68 junction box, where bypass diodes protect the module from local shading effects. From the junction box, MC4 compatible connectors deliver power to the rest of the solar array and onward to the inverter, which converts direct current into grid ready alternating current for home or business use.
PERC monocrystalline cell conversion: Passivated emitter and rear cell technology adds a reflective layer on the back of each cell. This layer allows unabsorbed light to pass through the silicon twice, which increases electron generation and raises efficiency compared with standard cells.
Half cut cell and string layout: Each of the 166 by 83 millimetre cells is physically divided into half cut segments. This layout reduces resistive losses, improves shade tolerance, and lowers operating temperatures in real world conditions.
Thermal and electrical optimization: The panel is engineered around favorable temperature coefficients for power, voltage, and current. As cell temperature rises, the -0.32 percent per degree power coefficient helps limit output loss, while robust materials maintain electrical integrity across the -40 to 90 degree operating range.
