What this index is
The Wholesale Solar Panel Price Index tracks real, in-market solar panel pricing for installers, contractors, resellers, and commercial buyers. Every number on this page carries a source and a fetch date — no estimates, no stale ranges, no "call for pricing."
Methodology
- What we index: 6,212 live product listings across US Solar Supplier (4,955), Volts.ca (1,091, CAD), AltE Store (148), and GoGreenMan Solar (18), fetched 2026-09-24. 474 of those are new solar panel listings after excluding kits, mounting hardware, and accessories.
- Landed cost: pallet prices are divided by pack count (parsed from the listing title, e.g. "Pallet of 31") to get a per-panel landed figure. US Solar Supplier pallet pricing is freight-included ("delivered"); GoGreenMan listings are likewise freight-inclusive per our 2026-09-24 verification. PES charges flat-rate freight at checkout on top of sticker, so per-panel landed comparisons normalize for that.
- Benchmark exclusions: grade-B/blemished/used panels, panel kits, and CAD-denominated Volts.ca listings are excluded from the USD $/W medians. Blemished stock is never used as a price anchor.
- PES pricing rule: PES prices sit just under the cheapest credible competitor landed price — target = competitor landed − max($3.00, 0.25% of landed), never deeper. "Credible" means in-stock, new, like-for-like product at a real US retailer with an indexed URL and fetch date.

PES VSUN 700W bifacial dual-glass panels are $181.99 before freight — 28% under the indexed landed competitor figure on a sticker basis.
