Model PMP242307010 | MultiPlus-II + SmartSolar MPPT 250/70 + GX Display | 3000VA / 2400W Continuous | 5500W Peak | 94% Efficiency | Built-In Wi-Fi | VRM Monitoring | –40°C to +55°C
The Victron EasySolar-II GX (PMP242307010) is a fully integrated all-in-one solar power system combining three core components into a single pre-wired enclosure: a Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/charger delivering 3000VA continuous and 5500W peak output at 94% maximum efficiency, a SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr charge controller managing solar PV harvest from a 19–33V battery bank, and a GX monitoring device with a 2×16-character local display — eliminating the separate cabling, mounting, and commissioning work that individual components require and producing a compact, installation-ready system suitable for residential off-grid, hybrid backup, marine, vehicle, and remote power applications. Built-in Wi-Fi enables setup, monitoring, and configuration from any smartphone or tablet via the VictronConnect app, while Victron's VRM cloud portal and app provide remote access to real-time system data, historical graphs, alerts, and parameter adjustments from anywhere in the world. VE.Direct and VE.Bus communication between internal components ensures coordinated inverter, charger, and MPPT operation managed through the GX system controller. IP21 rated, operating from –40°C to +55°C.
MultiPlus-II Inverter/Charger — 3000VA Continuous / 5500W Peak / 94% Efficiency: The integrated Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/charger converts 24V DC battery power to stable 230VAC ±2% output at up to 3000VA continuous and 5500W peak — handling load surges from motor starts, compressors, and power tools that exceed the continuous rating — at a maximum inverter efficiency of 94%, while the multi-stage battery charger simultaneously accepts AC input from grid or generator to charge the battery bank according to configurable charge profiles suited to flooded, AGM, gel, and lithium battery chemistries, with automatic transfer switching that maintains uninterrupted AC output to connected loads during grid-to-battery transitions in under 20 milliseconds.
SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr Charge Controller — Integrated Solar Harvest: The factory-integrated SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr charge controller accepts PV array input up to 250V open-circuit voltage and delivers up to 70A of charge current to the 24V battery bank — continuously tracking the solar array's maximum power point to extract the highest possible energy yield under all irradiance and temperature conditions throughout the day — while operating in coordinated synchronization with the MultiPlus-II through the GX system bus, enabling the GX controller to manage combined solar and AC charge current, battery state of charge targets, and system-level power balancing as a unified energy management system rather than separate independent devices.
GX Device with 2×16 Display — Local & Remote System Control: The integrated GX monitoring and control device serves as the system's central intelligence — aggregating real-time data from the MultiPlus-II via VE.Bus and the SmartSolar MPPT via VE.Direct, displaying battery voltage, state of charge, solar yield, AC load, and input/output status on the built-in 2×16-character local display for immediate on-site visibility — while simultaneously transmitting the same data to Victron's VRM cloud portal over Wi-Fi for remote monitoring, historical logging, configurable alert notifications, and full system parameter adjustment from any internet-connected device without requiring physical access to the installation.
Built-In Wi-Fi — VictronConnect App & VRM Remote Portal: The EasySolar-II GX's built-in Wi-Fi module connects directly to a local network or acts as its own access point during initial commissioning — enabling installers to complete system setup and configuration wirelessly via the VictronConnect app on any iOS or Android device without laptop or Bluetooth dongle requirements — and providing the GX device with continuous internet connectivity for real-time data upload to Victron's VRM portal, where system owners and installers can access live dashboards, review historical energy flow graphs, configure alarms and notifications, remotely adjust inverter and charger parameters, and download performance reports at any time from any location.
Pre-Wired All-in-One Integration — Simplified Installation & Reduced Cost: By factory-integrating the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr, and GX monitoring device into a single pre-wired enclosure with all internal communication connections made and tested, the EasySolar-II GX eliminates the separate procurement, mounting, wiring, and commissioning steps required when installing these three components individually — reducing installation labor time significantly, removing the risk of inter-component wiring errors, and producing a cleaner, more compact installation footprint in enclosures, switchboards, and equipment rooms where space and installation time are constrained, while the single-enclosure design simplifies future servicing and inspection access.
The EasySolar-II GX manages energy flow across three input/output paths simultaneously — solar PV input through the MPPT charge controller, AC grid or generator input through the MultiPlus-II AC input, and DC battery bank input/output through the MultiPlus-II DC bus — with the GX system controller coordinating all three to maintain battery state of charge, supply connected AC loads from the most appropriate available source, and export or absorb energy according to the configured operating mode. During normal grid-connected operation, the MultiPlus-II passes grid AC to connected loads and charges the battery bank from grid AC and solar MPPT simultaneously. During grid outage, the transfer switch activates within milliseconds and the MultiPlus-II inverts battery DC to 230VAC to sustain loads from stored energy and ongoing solar harvest, with the GX managing the combined power balance in real time.
VE.Direct & VE.Bus Internal Communication — Coordinated Component Control: The GX device communicates with the SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr charge controller via VE.Direct — Victron's dedicated serial communication protocol for charge controller data and parameter control — and with the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger via VE.Bus, Victron's higher-speed bidirectional bus for inverter/charger command and status exchange, enabling the GX to implement system-level logic such as coordinated charge current limiting, load-based MPPT current adjustment, generator auto-start based on battery state of charge thresholds, and self-consumption optimization that would not be possible with separately installed and unconnected components operating on independent control loops.
Real-Time Monitoring via VRM App & Portal: The Victron VRM (Victron Remote Management) platform receives continuous data uploads from the GX device over Wi-Fi — logging solar yield, battery voltage and state of charge, AC input and output power, inverter operating mode, charge stage, and alarm states at regular intervals — and presents this data through the VRM web portal and iOS/Android app as live dashboards, historical trend graphs, energy balance summaries, and downloadable CSV reports, enabling system owners to track daily and cumulative solar harvest, verify battery health trends, investigate past alarm events, and remotely adjust inverter and charger settings including charge voltage setpoints, transfer switch thresholds, and ESS operating mode parameters without dispatching a technician to the site.
Battery Compatibility & Multi-Stage Charging: The MultiPlus-II's integrated multi-stage charger supports configurable charge profiles for a wide range of 24V battery chemistries — including flooded lead-acid, sealed VRLA, AGM, gel, and Victron-compatible lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries with external BMS communication — managing bulk, absorption, float, and storage charge stages with independently configurable voltage and current setpoints to optimize charging speed while protecting battery longevity, with the SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr contributing up to 70A of additional charge current from solar PV in parallel with the AC charger to accelerate battery recovery after discharge and maximize self-consumption of available solar energy throughout the day.
