Scenario — DIY-friendly off-grid installer with Sol-Ark ecosystem

Three trends will shape the LFP battery landscape over the next two years:
- Sodium-ion emerging in low-cost tier. CATL and BYD have both announced sodium-ion (Na-ion) cell platforms targeting stationary storage. Lower energy density than LFP, similar safety, potentially 20–30 % lower cell cost at scale. Watch 2027 for first commercial residential Na-ion storage products.
- Higher DoD warranties. Enphase set the benchmark at 15 years / 100 % usable DoD; Fortress, EG4, and SimpliPhi will likely respond with extended-term warranty options over 2026–2027.
- US LFP manufacturing. IRA domestic-content adder is driving US-manufactured LFP capacity. SimpliPhi already leverages A123 US/Mexico production; other brands are announcing US assembly or partial US content.
