    Do I need a power optimizer on every panel?
    Yes. SolarEdge inverters are designed to operate with optimizers on every panel in the string. Installing panels without optimizers on a SolarEdge string will cause inverter faults and void the warranty.

    Can I use SolarEdge without the Home Battery?
    Yes. The Home Hub inverter operates as a grid-tied inverter without a battery. Battery can be added later as a retrofit, since the DC-coupled architecture does not require a separate battery inverter.

    What happens if one optimizer fails?
    A failed optimizer reduces that panel's output to zero, but the rest of the string continues operating. The monitoring platform flags the failed optimizer for replacement. The inverter itself is unaffected.
